1) Mix about half a cup of henna with one-fourth cup of water.
2) Stir the mixture till it becomes consistent, add more water if necessary.

1) Make henna paste with lemon juice or water, and let sit 24 hours.
2) Add amla prior to application, and check paste consistency.
3) Apply the paste to hair, cover with a shower cap, let sit 1-4 hours, and rinse with a gentle shampoo.
If you want to cover gray hair and get a darker shade, coffee is a great way to achieve that and coffee also adds dimension to dark tresses. To apply coffee as a natural hair dye simply brew a strong coffee and let it cool. Then mix one cup of leave-in conditioner and 2 tablespoons of coffee powder.
Use the coffee conditioner instead of regular conditioner. Let the conditioner sit in your hair for 10-15 minutes and then rinse hair.
